2014 UHS Service Excellence Winner
Jill Heinbaugh was recently promoted to Decision Support Manager from her Supervisor position, which formally acknowledged her increased ongoing responsibilities within her department this past year. Over the years, Jill has consistently provided our department both accurate and timely data and reports, and all with a positive and friendly attitude. This year was no different, except that Jilly’s performance was truly outstanding as her Decision Support group has been in the process of implementing a replacement application which is a major undertaking in and of itself.
This extra burden never created any degradation in her support. In fact, our group was probably even more demanding this past year with increased numbers of comprehensive and voluminous special requests, but Jill did not miss a beat and was always able to help us. In my mind, Jill could have been easily justified in lowering her high standard of customer support given the heavy demand on her time and the resources required to install their new Decision Support application. That type of response never occurred, however.
Jill’s excellent customer support has continued throughout the year, and I know that she has logged lots of extra hours to ensure that to be the case. As a manager, Jill should also be commended for providing superior leadership to her team. Her direct reports are outstanding employees, too, and they follow Jill’s excellent example of providing the same level of outstanding support to UHS hospitals and other corporate departments. Those of us who work with Jill know that no data or report request asked of her is too complex, too large, or too onerous. Jill will always go the extra mile to track down a specialized data field to report on whether it’s in an obscure region of the Data Warehouse or in the Decision Support system itself. Jill’s consistent professionalism as well as the high quality deliverables produced by her and her group provide great examples of Jill’s full embracement of UHS Service Excellence standards.
Jill very much deserves to be a recipient of the UHS Corporate Service Excellence award this year!
